NASA X-43
APart of NASA's hyper-X program, X-43 A is an unmanned experimental hypersonic aircraft. The X-43 is the fastest plane on record with a speed of 9.8 Mach and is fuelled by hydrogen. It does not require oxygen to keep the engine going and was designed to test a range of features concerning hypersonic flight.
