served the US Air Force from 1964 to 1998 which was an advanced, long-range, ach 3+ strategic manned military aircraft. It was developed as a black project by Lockheed Corporation, USA and has been nick named as "Blackbird" or "Habu". With an amazing capability to withstand heat, it accelerates at a speed of 3.5 Mach at an altitude as high as 100,000 feet and when faced with missiles, its system would merely accelerate andelude the missile.

Operated by United States Air Force and NASA, X-15 was a rocket powered aircraft. With a top speed of 6.72 Mach it holds the official world record for the fastest speed ever reached by a manned aircraft. X-15 was manufactured by North American Aviation which was used from 8 June 1959 till December 1970. The engine used ammonia and liquid oxygen for propellant and hydrogen peroxide to drive the high-speed turbo pump that delivered fuel to the engine accompanied by a thick wedge tail for stability athypersonic speeds.

APart of NASA's hyper-X program, X-43 A is an unmanned experimental hypersonic aircraft. The X-43 is the fastest plane on record with a speed of 9.8 Mach and is fuelled by hydrogen. It does not require oxygen to keep the engine going and was designed to test a range of features concerning hypersonic flight.

Researchers have made a contact lens with an embedded LCD. Unfortunately, no one wearing such a thing would be able to readwhat's on the screen.A team at the Centre of Microsystems Technology at Ghent University said the tiny display can show just a few pixels,and at such a close range that it would not be visible to those wearing it.But the HUD could be used in medicine, and refined to potentially show images at a virtual distance, enabling it to be read.Take a look above for the details.
